Getting Argent Dawn Rep for No Good Reason
This weekend I was bored. Didn’t feel like doing dailies, didn’t feel like PVP’ing and I didn’t want to be in Outland anymore. So I spent my time in the old world, in one of my least favorite zones – Eastern Plaguelands and went to Stratholme XX times enhancing my reputation with the Argent Dawn and in doing so obtained a [Rune of the Dawn] and a [Supply Bag]. I also attuned myself for Naxxramas – although I have no idea if it was really necessary (it is worth 1000 rep points though).
I went from 2000 points in Friendly to 200 points in Revered in a day. Stratholme is easy for a 70, the only set backs were when I was spotted by the Eyes of Naxxramas and he aggros the entire place on you. Also if one of the everyday ghouls saw me it could cause trouble (the ghouls all had stealth detection). I never made it to the Baron, but I did get as far as outside his Slaughterhouse and killed the Abomination boss that comes out. Then 100 non-elite ghouls and skeletons run out and attack you. I couldn’t fight them all, so I would hide. I saw on YouTube a video of a rogue who solo’d the whole thing, but I was more interested in quick short trips to earn rep.
I would sneak in, kill the 4 mini-bosses for their [Corruptor's Scourgestones] and leave to reset and re-enter the city. I did die several times throughout the journey, usually from the Eyes spotting me, or a gargoyle flying by. In the end I learned to enjoy the instance again. I guess it had been over 2.5 years since I was last there. I look forward to coming back as a Death Knight, claiming [Baron Rivendare's head] and keeping it in my bag as a RP keepsake.
